The first phase of the thematic event organized by Huachen Intelligent Manufacturing, the
Electronic Innovation and Development Industry Alliance, was successfully held on the
afternoon of August 19th.The theme of this event revolved around "Demand Changes and
Development of Consumer Electronics in Challenging Environments." We were honored to
have the presence of Mr. Zhuo Mazhi, the Directorof Key Account Sales at Tuya Smart, Mr.
Zhang Junming, the Vice President of Jianyi Life Products, and Mr. Wu Zeheng, the President
of Techie. These three heavy weight industry experts shared their insightson the current
situation of the consumer electronics market, the status of small household appliances inthe
Japanese and Korean markets, and the new technological advancements driving the
upgraded consumer electronics sector.
Mr. Zhuo Mazhi delivered a presentation on the theme of "Green and Low-carbon IoT
Technology Leadingthe New Upgrade of Consumer Electronics." He analyzed the market
size and current situation of cross-bordere-commerce in China. He highlighted that during
the pandemic, digital entertainment has experiencedsignificant growth, and there is a rapid
surge in demand for lifestyle services. Furthermore, IoT devicesare witnessing a tremendous
expansion, and IoT smart products are becoming popular in the realm ofcross-border
e-commerce.
Mr. Zhuo Mazhi
Mr. Zhang Junming presented on the topic of "Development and Challenges of Small
Appliances in theContext of Consumer Upgrading." He shared the process of successfully
transforming a PCBA factory intoa product manufacturing enterprise. He analyzed the
intensified competition and the sinking of high-end brands, as well as the continuous
increase in raw material and labor costs. In such an environment with apparent homogeneity,
he emphasized the importance of conducting thorough market research to understand the
demand and meeting the specific needs of different market segments. He also highlighted the
significance of continuous product innovation and a focus on product quality as the best product
strategy for small and medium-sized enterprises in the current market.
Mr. Zhang Junming
Mr. Wu Zeheng's presentation focused on "Customer Insights and Brand DNA Injection for
New Consumer Electronics Brands." He shared insights into the meaning of the name
"Tech Geek" and the concept of a unique "taste" and geeky lifestyle. He discussed Tech
Geek's four product principles: exploratory, cutting-edge,disruptive, and sustainable.
He also explored the importance of product positioning and design inspiration in
building a brand. He emphasized that the market is always willing to pay for good products,
but building astrong supply chain is one of the most challenging aspects, and it cannot be
achieved solely by paying a high price for supply chain services.
Mr. Wu Zeheng
The forum provided a deeper understanding and exploration of the consumer electronics
market environment and changing demand trends. It was evident that the market is more
inclined to pay for innovative products with the ability to meet consumer needs. On the
supply side, low-margin products and services are at risk of being eliminated in an environment
of rising labor and raw material costs.Different types of companies have implemented various
adjustment strategies in response to market changes. The discussions and sharing from
the different perspectives of the guest speakers sparked exciting insights and ideas during
this event.
